- Be sure to pay attention to any possible con-
nection prompts on your Bluetooth audio
player.
- You only have to pair your device one time.
Bluetooth devices that are already paired
automatically connect to the MMI when
they are within range.
- Several Bluetooth audio players can be con-
nected to the
MMI, but only one portable
device can be active.
- Bluetooth A2DP and AVRCP (1.0/1.3) are
supported.
- The supported media functions depend on
the Bluetooth audio player being used.

Wi-Fi Audio player
Applies to vehicles: With Wi-F i audio player
Wireless media players (such as smortphones)
can be connected via Wi-Fi hotspots and control-
led with the MMI. You con access the media cen-
ter in your media player using the UPnP server
opp or on integrated UPnPIDLNA server on the
media player.
Requirement : the Wi-Fi function in the media
player and the MMI must be activated. A network
connection must be established

UPnP server app is installed in your Wi-Fi media
player.
- Connecting a Wi-Fi audio player: Select the
IM EDIA I button > Source control button > Wi-Fi
audio player @ ¢

sage will appear in the MMI display saying
there is no Wi-Fi media player connected to the
MMI. The access data for the Wi-Fi hotspot is
displayed

- Select the same sett ings on the wireless media
player that are used for the Wi-Fi hotspot.
- Starting the Wi-Fi audio player: Start the UPnP
server app or set media permissions on your de-
vice. The first song in the media center on your
Wi-Fi audio player will begin playing.

_& WARNING
-As the driver, do not allow usage of the Wi-
Fi hotspot to distract you from driving, as
this could increase the risk of an accident .
- It is only safe to use laptops and similar mo-
bile devices when the vehicle is stationary
because, like all loose objects, they could be
thrown around the inside of the vehicle in a
crash and cause serious injuries. Store these
types of devices securely while driving.
- Do not use any wireless devices on the front
seats within range of the airbags while driv-
ing. Read and follow the safety precautions
in the separate vehicle owner's manual un-
der "Important safety information about
the front airbag system" in the "Airbag Sys-
tem" chapter .

You are responsible for all precautions taken
for data protection, anti-virus protection and
protection against loss of data on mobile de-
vices that are used to access the Internet
through the Wi-Fi hotspot.

- The Wi-Fi connection is reconfigured when
inserting or removing the SIM card in the
SIM card reader . There may be a temporary
interruption in audio playback, depending
on the media player.
- Please note that a Wi-Fi connection does
not automatically make it possible to use
the Internet. For additional information, re-

- Depending on the wireless media player,
network or media access may need to be ap-
proved on the device or a program may need
to be started.
- AW-Fi connection does not automatically
provide an Internet connection . For addi-
tional information, refer to
