Install screws 2.
Fastening muffler cover on muffler
M5 x 10
4 lb/ft (5 Nm)
Installing side trim panel ( 127).
with anti-theft alarm system (DWA)

Turn on the anti-theft alarm system if nec-
essary.
Setting the clock ( 78).
Setting the date ( 77).
FUSES
Replacing fuses
ATTENTION
Bypassing defective fuses
Risk of short circuit and fire
Do not bypass defective fuses.
Replace defective fuses with new fuses.
Turning off the ignition ( 45).
Park the motorcycle, making sure the
ground is level and firm.
Removing side trim panel ( 126).
Press lock 1 on both sides.
Pull off the fuse box 2.
If the fuses blow frequently, have the
electrical system checked by an autho-
rized specialized workshop, preferably an
authorized BMW Motorrad retailer.
Replace defective fuse in accordance with
following fuse assignment diagram.
Fuse layout ( 143)
Insert the fuse box 2. Make sure that the
lock 1 snaps in on both sides.
Installing side trim panel ( 127).

10 A (Anti-theft alarm system (DWA), in-
strument cluster, OBD connector, cut-off
relay, ignition switch)
Fuse 2
7.5 A (Sensor box, round instrument, left
multifunction switch)
