Light signals on indicator light:
1 flash: tilt alarm sensor 1
2 flashes: tilt alarm sensor 2
3 blinks: ignition turned on with unautho-
rized ignition key
4 blinks: DWA disconnected from vehicle
battery
5 flashes: tilt alarm sensor 3
Deactivation
Turning on the ignition ( 44).
Turn signals flash once.
Confirmation tone sounds once (if pro-
grammed).
DWA is turned off.
Press button 1 of the radio-operated key
once.
If the alarm function is deactivated us-
ing the radio-operated key and the ig-
nition is not turned on then, the alarm func-
tion will be reactivated automatically after
approximately 30 seconds if Arm automat-
ically is turned on.
Turn signals flash once.
Confirmation tone sounds once (if pro-
grammed).
DWA is turned off.
Adapting DWA
Turning on the ignition ( 44).
Go to the Settings, Vehicle set-
tings menu, then select the Alarm sys-
tem menu item.
The following adjustments are available:
Adapting Warning signal
Switching Tilt sensor on and off
Switching Arming tone on and off
Switching Arm automatically on and
off
Possible settings
Warning signal: Set increasing and de-
creasing or intermittent alarm tone.
Tilt sensor: Activate the tilt sensor to
monitor the tilt of the vehicle. The DWA
anti-theft alarm system responds, for exam-
ple, in the event of attempted wheel theft or
towing.
Deactivate the tilt sensor when trans-
porting the vehicle to avoid triggering
the DWA.
Arming tone: Confirmation alarm tone af-
ter activating/deactivating the DWA in addi-
tion to flashing turn indicators.
Arm automatically: Automatic activation
of the alarm function when the ignition is
turned off.
AUTOMATIC STABILITY CONTROL (ASC)
Switching ASC function off and on
Turning on the ignition ( 44).
Go to the Settings, Assist menu, then
select the ASC menu item.
Deactivate ASC to switch off automatic
stability control ASC until the next time the
ignition is switched on.

Activate ASC to switch on automatic sta-
bility control ASC. Alternative: Turn the
ignition off and on again.
no longer lights up, and if self-diagno-
sis has not been completed, it begins
to blink.
