Press the lock cylinder 1 downward.
The release lever 2 pops open.
Pull the release lever 2 all the way up and
open the case lid.
Closing a case
Pull release lever 2 all the way up.
Close case lid and press down. Ensure
that nothing gets trapped between the lid
and case.
The case can also be locked if the lock
is in the LOCK position. Under such
circumstances, ensure that the ignition key is
not in the case.
Press release lever 2 down until it snaps
in.
Turn vehicle key to the LOCK position in
the case lock and remove it.
Maximum payload and maximum speed
Observe maximum payload and maximum
speed.
The following values apply to the combina-
tion described here:
Maximum speed when riding with a
loaded case
max 99 mph (max 160 km/h)
Payload per case
max 22 lbs (max 10 kg)
TOPCASE
Opening topcase
with central locking system
OE
Open the central locking system if neces-
sary.
Turn the vehicle key in the topcase lock to
the position of the dot and remove it.
with central locking system
OE
Turn the vehicle key first to the LOCK po-
sition and then to the position of the dot.
