The instrument panel immediately activates the selected backlighting and highlights the corresponding option. The frequent use of this function can considerably reduce the battery charge. Housed in the handgrip of each ignition key is an electronic device that modulates an output signal.
When the ignition is turned on this signal is generated by a special antenna incorporated in the switch and changes every time. Failure to do so might prevent the system from recognizing the code of the key in use. You may be asked to provide proof that you are the legitimate owner of the motorcycle.
The codes of any keys not submitted will be wiped off from the memory to make those keys unserviceable in case they have been lost. The system is hydraulically operated and you just need to pull the lever gently. This will allow the friction material on the brake pads to bed in against the brake disks.
