Fuse Removal
1. Remove seat.
To prevent accidental vehicle start up, which could cause
death or serious injury, disconnect negative ( ) battery
cable before proceeding. (00048a)
2. Disconnect and remove battery negative ( ) cable (black) from battery negative ( ) terminal.
3. Pull cover away from fuse block.
Always use replacement fuses that are of the correct type
and amperage rating. Use of incorrect fuses can result in
damage to electrical systems. (00222a)
4. See Fuse Block: Softail Models (top view). Replace suspect fuse.
Fuse Installation
1. Place cover over fuse block.
2. Install battery negative cable (black) to battery negative ( ) terminal.
3. Tighten fastener to 60 96 in lbs (6.8 10.8 Nm).
After installing seat, pull upward on front of seat to be sure
it is in locked position. While riding, a loose seat can shift
causing loss of control, which could result in death or
serious injury. (00070a)
4. Install seat.
