Gasoline pumps at service stations normally display the pump octane number. Make sure the oil filter bolt is tightened securely to the specified torque. Make sure the oil is between the upper and lower level marks on the dipstick.
Change the oil with the gear case at normal operating temperature to assure complete and rapid draining. Change the oil with the differential at normal operating temperature to assure complete and rapid draining. Water that is high in mineral content or salt may be harmful to the aluminum engine.
This coolant solution is recommended for most operating temperatures and provides good corrosion protection. Always let the engine and radiator cool down before removing the radiator cap. Service the air cleaner more frequently if you ride in unusually wet or dusty areas.
