Manual Description
Be sure to keep your foot on the brake pedal when shifting between these gears. On four-wheel drive vehicles be sure that the transfer case is in a drive position. These are unsafe practices that limit your response to changing traffic or road conditions.
Normal operation will resume once the transmission temperature has risen to a suitable level. The current transmission gear will be displayed in the instrument cluster. The parking brake should always be applied when the driver is not in the vehicle.
Several attempts may be required for clutch teeth alignment and shift completion to occur. The vehicle will automatically raise and lower the ride height to adapt to the appropriate driving conditions. The system is correcting the position of the vehicle to ensure a proper appearance.
