When riding across th
e side of a hill, keep your
body weight toward the top of the hill. Avoid hills with
slippery sides that w ill cause you to lose traction.
Also avoid t raversin
g hillsides covered with rocks or
other obstacles which may cause you to lose your
balance or tip over.
If the vehicle begin
s to tip , steer d o w nhill if pos sible
to regain control. If you discover that the vehicle is
in danger of rolling over, dismount on the uphill side.

OW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
Avoid crossing the side of a steep hill if pos-
sible.
When crossing the side of a hill:
Always follow proper procedures as de-
scribedinthismanual.
Avoid hills with excessively slippery or loose
surfaces.
Shift your weight to the uphill side of the ATV.
