Element Cleaning
•
Remove the element (see Element Removal).
•
Clean the paper element by tapping it lightly to
loosen dust.
•
Blow away the remaining dust by applying com-
pressed air from the inside to the outside (from the
cleansidetothedirtyside).
•
Inspect the element material for damage. If any
part of the element is damaged, the element must
be replaced.
Element Installation
•
If there is dust and mud in the air cleaner housing,
blow out the inside of the air cleaner housing with
compressed air.
•
Install the element to the adapter.
•
Fit the grooves of the adapter to the tabs of the air
cleaner housing.

•
Install the air cleane r housing cap .
•
Hold the air cleaner housing cap by snaps se-
curely.
•
Run the drain hose to the clamps.
•
Clean the inside of the battery cover and install it
(see Ba ttery I nstallation).
Oil Draining
•
Remove the battery cover (see Battery Removal).
•
Inspect the transparent drain hose located under
the air cleaner housing to see if any oil and water
have run down.
