If any water or dirt appears during the above oper-
ation, have the fuel system checked by an autho-
rized Kawasaki dealer.
Fuel Filter
The vehicle is eq
uipped the fuel filter at the middle
of the fu el line to prevent dirt or other foreign material
from entering the carburetor and fuel pump.
Have your autho
rized Kawasaki dealer inspect
and clean or replace the fuel filter in accordance
with the Periodic Maintenance Chart, or whenever
any foreign material
or water ca n be seen trapp ed
in the fuel filter.
A. Fuel Filter
Evaporative Emission Control System
This system routes fuel vapors from the fuel sys-
tem into the running engine or stores the vapors in
acanisterwhent
he engine is stopped. Although no
adjustments are requited, a thorough visual inspec-
tion must be made at the intervals specified by the
“Periodic Main
tenance Chart”.
Inspection
•
Check that the hoses are securely connected.
•
Replace any kinked, deteriorated, or damaged
hoses.
