Use of the high range for heavy loads, climb-
ing hills, pulling a trailer, and sustained low
speed riding can lead to premature wear of
the torque converter belt and pulleys. Use
low range for these conditions.

2WD/4WD Shift Lever (KAF400H/K/L/M/N)
This vehicle can be operated either in “2WD” or
“4WD”.
The 2WD/4WD shift lever is located on the dash-
board, to the right of the steering shaft. Move the
2WD/4WD shift lever up or down as necessary.

Differential Shift Lever
This vehicle is equipped with a dual-mode rear dif-
ferential. The differential shift lever is located on the
dashboard, to the left of the steering shaft. Move the
shift lever up or down as necessary.
