The e lectrolyte le ve
l in each cell should be be-
tween the upper and lower level lines.
•
If th e fluid leve l is low in any cell, re move the bat-
tery filler caps and
fill with distilled w ater until the
electrolyte level in each cell reaches the upper
level line. DO NOT OVERFILL. Overfilling can
cause the electrol
yte to leak out of the battery vent
tube. Battery electrolyte contains sulfuric acid that
will corrode vehicle components and parking sur-
faces, plus cause
burns to exposed skin.

NOTICE
Add only distilled water to the battery. Ordi-
nary tap water is not a substitute for distilled
water and will short
en the life of the battery.
If you are riding your Mule infrequently, inspect the
battery voltage we
ekly u s ing a voltmeter. If it drops
below 12.5 volts, the battery should be charged
using an appropriate charger (che ck with your
Kawasaki dealer o
r visit kawasaki.com) at a rate of
1/10th of the battery capacity. If you will not be using
your vehicle for longer than two weeks, the battery
should be charge
d using an appropriate charger.
Do not use an automotive-type quick charger that
may overcharge the battery and damage it.
NOTE
○
Leaving the battery connected causes the electri-
cal components
to make the battery discharged,
resulting the over discharge of the battery. In this
case, the repair or replacement of the battery is
not included i
n the warranty. If you do not drive for
four weeks or more, disconnect the battery from
the vehicle.
