To move the headlight beam left-
ward, turn the left adjuster clockwise
and turn the rig h t adjuster counter-
clockwise same number until the
beam points straight ahead.
•
To move the headlight beam right-
ward, turn the left adjuster counter-
clockwise and turn the right adjuster
clockwise same number until the
beam points straight ahead.
•
If not properly adjusted horizontally,
the beam will point to one side rather
than straight ahead.
•
To move the headlight beam upward,
turn the both adjuste rs clockwise
same number.
•
To move the headlight beam down-
ward, turn the both adjusters coun-
terclockwise same number.
•
If adjusted too low, neither low nor
high beam will illuminate the road far
enough ahead. If adjusted too high,
the high be am will fail to illuminate
the road close ahead, and the low
beam will blind oncom in g drivers.
NOTE
○
On high beam, the brightest points
should be slightly below horizontal.
The proper angle is 0.4 degrees be-
low horizontal. This is a 50 mm (2.0
in.) drop at 7.6 m (25 ft) measured
from the center of the headlight, w ith
themotorcycleonitswheelsandthe
rider seated.
