Driving your vehicle Smart regeneration system (If equipped with
smart cruise control)
Changing lanes
When a vehicle changes lanes in
front of you, the smart regenera
-
tion system may not immediately
detect the vehicle, especially if the
vehicle changes lanes abruptly. In
this case, you must maintain a safe
braking distance, and if necessary,
depress the brake pedal to reduce
your driving speed in order to main
-
tain a safe distance.
Recognizing the vehicle
Some vehicles in your lane cannot be
recognized by the sensor:
Narrow vehicles such as motorcy
-
cles or bicycles
Vehicles offset to one side
Slow-moving vehicles or sudden-
decelerating vehicles
Stopped vehicles (When the vehi
-
cle ahead drives away, the sys
-
tem may not detect a stopped
vehicle.)
Vehicles with small rear profile
such as trailers with no loads
A vehicle ahead cannot be recog
-
nized correctly by the sensor if any
of following occurs:
When the vehicle is pointing
upwards due to overloading in the
luggage compartment
While the steering wheel is oper
-
ating
When driving to one side of the
lane
When driving on narrow lanes or
on curves
Apply the brake or accelerator pedal
if necessary.
When using the Smart Regeneration
System take the following precau
-
tions:
If an emergency stop is neces

sary, you must apply the brakes.
Keep a safe distance according to
road conditions and vehicle speed.
If the vehicle distance is too close
