Manual Description
I Lubricate threads and seat surfaces of camshaft sprocket bolts with new engine oil. I When installing the timing chain tensioner, engine oil should be applied to the oil hole and tensioner. Again tighten by turning 60° to 66°, about the angle from one hexagon bolt head corner to another.
This indicates that air still remains in the chamber and is not a matter of concern. I A warped or cracked cylinder head could result from removing in incorrect order. Use a reliable straightedge and feeler gauge to check the flatness of cylinder head surface.
The limit for cylinder head resurfacing is determined by the cylinder block resurfacing. Boring should not continue beyond the bottom face of the seat recess in cylinder head. Use a depth gauge to measure the distance between the mounting surface of the cylinder head spring seat and the valve stem end.
