2006 Nissan Pathfinder — Repair Manual - Lighting System (Section LT)
Do not touch the headlamp bulb glass surface with bare hands or allow oil or grease to get on it. Do not touch the headlamp bulb just after the headlamp is turned off, because it is very hot. Do not use organic solvent (paint thinner or gasoline) to clean lamps and to remove old sealant.
When energized, these relays direct power to the respective headlamps, which then illuminate. Under this condition, the headlamps remain illuminated for 5 minutes, unless the combination switch (lighting switch) position is changed. If the combination switch (lighting switch) position is changed, then the headlamps are turned off.
Before performing aiming adjustment, check the following: – Confirm headlamp aiming switch is set to "0" (zero) position. J – Ensure there is no load in vehicle other than the driver (or equivalent weight placed in driver's position). Basic illuminating area for evaluation and/or adjustment should be within range shown on aiming chart.
