Gradually reduce your speed and stop your vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so. Lightly press the brake pedal to dry the brakes and to check that they work. Never drive through water that is higher than the bottom of the wheel hubs.
This could result in the floor mat interfering with the operation of the pedals. Objects that are loose can become trapped under the pedals causing a loss of vehicle control. Press the flasher control and all front and rear direction indicators flash.
The fuel pump shutoff stops the flow of fuel to the engine in the event of a moderate to severe crash. Shield your eyes when working near the battery to protect against possible splashing of acid solution. Have your tow truck operator refer to this manual for proper hook-up and towing procedures for your vehicle.
