Manual Description
The side with the lock button should contact the engine start/stop button directly. But for your safety always depress the brake pedal before starting the engine. Unexpected and sudden vehicle movement can occur if these precautions are not followed.
This position locks the transmission and prevents the drive wheels from rotating. The vehicle will roll freely even on the slightest incline unless the parking brake or service brakes are applied. Insert a screwdriver into the access hole and press down on the screwdriver.
Pull the [+] or [-] paddle shifter once to shift up or down one gear and the system changes from automatic mode to manual mode. Pump the brake pedal only when necessary to maintain steering control on slippery surfaces. This will create abnormally high brake temperatures which can cause excessive brake lining and pad wear.
