The outside rear view mirror defogger automatically turns on when you operate the windshield wipers. Check that the washer nozzles are not blocked if there is washer fluid in the windshield washer fluid reservoir. Use the cruise control to maintain a set speed without depressing the accelerator pedal.
The vehicle speed at the moment the lever is released becomes the set speed. Cruise control will stop maintaining the vehicle speed in any of the following situations. Vehicle-to-vehicle distance increases/decreases in accordance with vehicle speed.
Pushing the lever up resumes the cruise control and returns vehicle speed to the set speed. Note that vehicle-to-vehicle distance will close in when traveling on long downhill slopes. The desired vehicle-to-vehicle distance can also be set by operating the vehicle-to-vehicle distance control.
