Switching to constant speed control mode is only possible when operating the switch with the cruise control off. When the brake control or output restriction control of a driving support system operates. Use the cruise control to maintain a set speed without depressing the accelerator pedal.
Cruise control will stop maintaining the vehicle speed in any of the following situations. Ultrasonic sensors are used to detect static objects in the detection area when driving at a low speed or backing up. Radar sensors are used to detect approaching vehicles in the detection areas behind the vehicle when backing up.
A rear camera sensor is used to detect pedestrians in the detection area behind the vehicle when backing up. A mute button will be displayed on the multi-information display when an object or pedestrian is detected. There is another vehicle equipped with parking assist sensors in the vicinity.
