At the initial interval and when the oil change indicator flashes or comes on. The panels shown need to be removed to perform some of the maintenance jobs described in this chapter. Refer to this section each time a panel needs to be removed and installed.
Release the sides of the panel by pulling its upper left and right sides to unhook them as shown. Align the center and lower projections and then push the panel into its original position. This model is equipped with a canister to prevent the discharging of fuel vapor into the atmosphere.
Check the oil level through the check window located at the bottom-left side of the crankcase. Replace the air filter element more frequently if you often ride in wet or dusty conditions.
